While there are lots of ways for businesses to get involved with fundraising for Cancer Council, including entering teams in charity events and distributing donation boxes, an increasingly popular way to participate is to donate a proportion of profit or sales that the business makes, so that’s what we’re talking about here.

To make this more straightforward we’ve prepared a Work Thing agreement to help you decide what proportion of earnings to donate and over what period. To see the Trader Agreement from, just click the 'Download Agreement' link above, complete the form online and submit it, we’ll then contact you to run through the details over the phone.

Once we’ve confirmed the Agreement in principle we’ll send you two copies of the contract along with a welcome kit. You need to return a signed copy to us and retain the second copy for your records.

The welcome kit includes lots of helpful information on communicating your support for Cancer Council to your team and customers. We include in this kit all the financial bits and pieces you need to keep track of your donations as well as all the financial housekeeping documents that make banking your funds easy.

EDEN GARDENS CREATES A PINK PARADISE

In 2008 North Ryde's Eden Gardens turned their garden centre pink to help raise funds for breast cancer research and Pink Ribbon Day. They donated a percentage of sales from a wide variety of pink items, including gumboots, candy floss, gloves, planter pads, books and tea tins. Eden Gardens has undertaken several other initiatives for Cancer Council, including a beautiful Daffodil Garden, a Wall of Recognition and Wall of Memory. Each year the centre also hosts Australia's Biggest Morning Tea and a Daffodil Day function.
